Tootoot invites you to join Pupil Voice Week and celebrate why “it’s good to talk”
After a record-breaking 2019, with over 300,000 pupils joining, tootoot’s Pupil Voice Week is back and bigger than ever.
Running from the 21st – 25th September, this year’s Pupil Voice Week has more partners and free resources than ever before to help schools celebrate.
This year’s theme is ‘it’s good to talk’. We’ll be promoting the wellbeing of people of all ages in education. We believe that through opening up and talking more about our own mental health, we can create a healthier school community.
We want every child to know that it’s good to talk about emotions, mental health and wellbeing. The week is all about empowering young people to speak-up and use their voice. With the help of our partners we have specially designed resources that explore topics such as emotional wellbeing, mental health, how they can use their voices for good and anti-bullying.

As every generation become increasingly tech-savvy, pupils are more exposed to the dangers that the widely unregulated world of technology can pose.
Bullying can have devastating effects on the victim and perpetrator, from mental health to physical health to academic attainment, and these effects can be felt well into adulthood. This I know only too well. I was bullied throughout primary and secondary school. The impact this had on my childhood is what drove me to create tootoot - so other children and young people, like myself, have another way to speak-up.
